The strength of a smile

I’m walking back home.
I’ve just left school.
That’s my life in Rome.
I’m running out of fuel.
My head is hanging down.
I’m crashing, but I try to stay cool.
I can’t hold it, I’m going to drown.
A tide of people are coming to me.
I’ll be sinking in this town.
My head’s so full, I just wanna be free
This life’s killing me, this life’s knocking me out.
I want to run away, but I don’t know where to flee
I want to scream out loud, but my lungs can’t shout.
Thinking about which homework I should do first.
I know I’ll be here tomorrow at the same time, without doubt.
It’s a sunny Wednesday afternoon.
A crowd of people is coming out the subway
They’ll flat me if this would be a cartoon.
Hopefully not today.
Who are you? Why are you staring at me?
I’m looking at you.
I have no clue, but you;
You’re smiling to me
and you have the key, asking me:
“What’s wrong, tell me what’s troubling you. I’m sure there’s no reason to”.
A smile spreads across my face, as nothing could go better.
Feeling my muscles will stay like this forever.
“The smile, the smile is so strong.
It could destroy every reason to throw a bomb.
Any reason to hate.
Everything is being so great!”
It’s another day, with the same mien.
I’m buying some more tea at the store.
Will I take some black, white or green?
My head’s hurting, feeling I got a bore
There’s a woman with black curled hair
We’re both on the ground floor
I’m looking at you and You’re smiling to me.
I don’t really know what, but it’s so beautiful to share
and you totally changed my day
Sharing a simple smile, which is being always more rare
Oh yes, I know who you are, never stop running your way.
“The strength of a smile is like a nuclear bomb
but the only part of the body which changes are your lips.
The strength of a smile is pure, it’s a real cure.”
The strength of a smile, what great women you are.
I know who you are for sure.
Successful for real, keeping that smile, even if you lose.
’cause the next time you’ll win for sure.
The strength of a smile, keeps you go on, no matter how many bruises you have.
The strength of a smile, keeps you go on, because you know you’re not alone.
The strength of a smile, keeps you go on, because there’s nothing more beautiful you can share.
